Climate change is coming to Spain faster and faster and nobody is doing anything to stop it
Temperatures will continue to rise and the global average will be one to two degrees higher than now, depending on how many greenhouse gases are emitted. If there is no remedy, the heat and drought could settle in Spain in 30 years, leaving Madrid with a climate similar to that of today’s Marrakech.
Madrid will be in the temperature of Marrakech, London in Barcelona and Stockholm in Sofia. On average, the climate of these European cities would transform into that of other cities 1.000 kilometers to the tropics. Temperatures that would rise in cases like Madrid more than six degrees in summer.
